UV Laser marking machines use 355nm pumped purple light laser light source taking advantage of previous generation machines advances to gain smaller diameter of focusing spot and finer detailed marking.

Materials absorb purple light better than infrared and therefore can achieve better results on items that are sensitive to high heat marking like thin plastics and semiconductors. Narrower pulse width of laser makes a shorter processing time on materials, therefore the materials avoid being deformed or burnt due to heat build up.
